The Approach

I already love to cook. This year, I want to go deeper—into ingredients, techniques, and flavors.

But more than anything, I want to cook with the people I love. Especially my mom, who lost her sense of smell to long COVID—and with it, some of her joy of food. I want to help bring that back.

Ideas I'm Exploring

  • Perfecting roast chicken and sheet pan pizza
  • Cooking through an entire cookbook (suggestions welcome)
  • Exploring fermentation
  • Learning Korean ingredients and making banchan
  • Hosting more dinners at home—with wine pairings, obviously
